On March 1, 2023, the Board of Directors of PMTLAI in Manila led by President Fernando Juan C. Perez met with thirty-three (33) freight forwarding companies based in Cebu.

      The meeting was aimed at Presenting the Mission, Vision, Objectives as well as Benefits in an organization such as the PMTLAI. There was an overwhelming response of support as 31 of the 33 companies acknowledged the need to establish an organization that will tend to their concerns in the Visayas Region.

      Without industry representation, freight forwarders are subject to the whim of the government or other larger organizations. These 31 organizations expressed willingness to join PMTLAI and to establish their own chapter in Cebu to address the local freight forwarding concerns. They were even able to elect a board of directors that will represent the Cebu Chapter regarding all matters that PMTLAI will be involved in during the board of director meetings and inter-government collaborations.

      We would therefore want to congratulate the newly elected officers of the PMTLAI CEBU Chapter:
